25 years after the first contact with a Apple Macintosh, the day came to replace my old computer hardware (Dell Dimension XPS 9200). My first impressions are very ambivalent: Great hardware, very good software, but a poor support (sorry but I don´t know the English expression for Gratlerbude, maybe someone is reading this article and will send some suggestions).
What I like the most at the moment: Absolutley no noise, although there are some fans built in. In times were many other users try to reduce the noise of their equipment, this feature comes to you when you buy this piece of hardware. What I don´t like: Wear the wrong clothes and it´s petty hard to work loger than 10 min on the computer, because of the glossy display.
About all topics concerning the software (especially for my digital workflow) on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard), I will write a bit later.
